SCGC Captures 22 First Place Medals in San Diego

The SCGC Team had another fabulous competition in San Diego in May. Pictured above are Level 4 gymnasts at the Floral Cup Meet.

Here are some impressive statistics from the San Diego May Gymnastics Meet:

  • 11 gymnasts placed in the top 3 on vault

  • 9 gymnasts placed in the top 3 on bars

  • 6 gymnasts placed in the top 3 on beam

  • 9 gymnasts placed in the top 3 on floor

  • 10 gymnasts placed in the top 3 all-around

  • The team won 22 first place medals

  • 9 gymnasts got an all-around score of 35.0 or higher

  • There were 27 scores of 9.0 or higher

The highest scores from San Clemente Gymnastics Gymnasts on individual events were:

  • Vault – Tegan Campbell (9.5)

  • Bars – Alyssa Niedziela (9.5)

  • Beam – Grace deViso (9.5)

  • Floor – Zoe Sharp (9.4)

  • All-around – Grace deViso (37.55)
